Improve content control with DNS security

Meter introduced DNS security to its software stack in August 2023 with domain and content-based filtering. Today, we are revamping our offering by adding two new features: VLAN-based rules and application-based filtering. Now, whether you’d like to block certain websites, content, or software for specific VLANs, you may do so with a few clicks in our dashboard, empowering you to take control of your network security. This comes with Meter Network at no additional cost.

Our latest DNS security features are coming with the next NOS firmware update in August.

Improve performance with the Meter 10G Security Appliance

The Security Appliance is a vital part of every Meter network, serving as the ingress and egress to the outside world. Packed with enterprise security features, Meter has long manufactured its Security Appliance with performance, reliability, and configurability in mind.

Today, we introduce our latest Security Appliance that can support ISP connections up 10 Gbps. Many of our customers cover millions of square feet with thousands of clients – this new hardware will facilitate higher throughput for enterprises at scale.

As with all of our hardware, our 10G Security Appliance is deeply integrated with the rest of Meter’s hardware, software, and firmware with no integration required and automatic updates for life.
